Hello dear martial art friend!

The film “The last samurai” shows a Japan at the turn from tradition to the modern age. In this area of tension, Tom Cruise plays a US soldier who goes to Japan to train the Japanese army.

In the course of his work, he happens to switch sides and become a member of the opponents of modern Japan: the samurais.

The film paints a beautiful image of samurai culture with community, simple life, honor, loyalty and fighting power.

These are all values and qualities that are barely there today.

I liked this movie a lot. What´s your take on this?

Hollywood cliche or realistic representation of the samurai culture?
