Hello, dear Budo friend!

The Japanese capital Tokio is the host of the Olympic games in the summer of 2020.
In Karate, Judo and Taekwondo Olympic medals will be awarded.

Theoretically, it would also be possible to include Aikido, Jiu, Kendo, Kyudo, Sumo, Kung Fu, Taichi and Chi Gong and Zen in the Olympic Games. The advantage would be in a worldwide reputation boost for Budo and martial arts.

The disadvantage would be that only the competitive aspect of these disciplines would be shown. Other essential aspects such as cooperation, Budo values, inner path, etc. would not be presented.

What do you mean? Are other Budo disciplines at Olympics a good idea or does this distort the true nature of Budo?

I am looking forward to your opinion …

Best regards

Alexander
